Samantha Finglass McKean serves as the Director of C Club at the University of Cincinnati, a role she began in August 2026. In this position, McKean works to cultivate a lifelong commitment to connection and celebration among former Bearcats student-athletes. She serves as a bridge between the Cincinnati Athletics Department and the generations of Bearcats who helped build the foundation for the program today.
A native of Coppell, Texas, McKean began her career in athletics as a student-worker with Texas A&M Athletics, where she supported the Lettermen’s Association, football recruiting, and men’s and women’s basketball operations. Following graduation, she joined the Lettermen’s Association full time and was promoted to Director in 2022.
McKean later served as the Director of Brand and Retail Marketing for Rebel Athletic, where she oversaw high-profile collaborations, including work with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the Miss America Organization. Most recently, she led brand development and communications for Colonial Country Club, home of the Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA TOUR.
McKean earned a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington. While at Texas A&M, she also served as an advisor to two athletic student-support organizations, Diamond Darlings and Team 12.
McKean recently relocated to Cincinnati with her husband, Dr. John McKean, who is a resident physician at UC Health. She has also volunteered with the Humane Society of North Texas.
