Sydnie Appell joined the University of Cincinnati Athletics staff in August 2023 as the Athletic Facilities and Events Coordinator and was promoted to Director of Athletic Facilities and Events in July 2025.
In her role, Appell oversees the coordination of facility operations and event management for Women’s Basketball, Lacrosse, and Football (Gameday). She also supervises the department’s student, intern, and graduate assistant staff.
A Cincinnati native, Appell began her career in UC Athletics as a student worker in the Facilities and Operations department. After one semester, she transitioned into an intern role before earning a full-time position as a coordinator.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration from the University of Cincinnati in April 2023.
