CINCINNATI - The 11th Annual UC Athletics Football 101 will take place on Thursday, July 14 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. inside Nippert Stadium's West Pavilion and on Nippert's Carson Field. The event is presented by Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers and powered by Under Armour. Dinner will be provided by Panera Bread Catering.
Former Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike (05-09) will be the master of ceremonies for the event. The silent auction will be back this year including Bearcats tickets, gear, gift cards from local restaurants and events. Top prize packs also include experiences such as pre-game football sideline passes, a pass to a preseason practice at Higher Ground and more.
"When someone gets cancer in your family, it affects you during the time they are sick and then forever after," expressed Suzanne Tuberville, wife of football head coach Tommy Tuberville, whose mother passed away from breast cancer while she was a senior in college. "We're fortunate here to be able to help out the UC Cancer Institute with your donations and participation in this event."
All participants will walk away with an Under Armour tote, a Cincinnati Under Armour pink t-shirt, and much more. Additionally, exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the new Nippert Stadium, including the pressbox, club levels and other areas will be provided.
Event proceeds will benefit the UC Cancer Institute's Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center and UC Athletics Women's Excellence Fund.
