Legion of Excellence

Legion of Excellence recognizes one student-athlete from each team who has the highest GPA during the previous academic year. Others that are also recognized at this event are the Order of the Black Blazer, the Strubbe Distinguished Service Award and James P. Kelly Hall of Fame Inductees.

Criteria for the Legion of Excellence include:

• Must be a full-time student-athlete
• Must be a competing student-athlete whose athletic status is listed as a sophomore, junior or senior during the year of induction
• Must have the highest cumulative GPA in each sport from the two previous full-time semesters
• Student-athletes may only be recognized once as a Legion of Excellence inductee
