CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati men's swimming and diving team won a thrilling meet over local rival Miami (Ohio), 121-116, at the Keating Aquatics Center on Tuesday afternoon. On the women's side, the RedHawks were victorious, 151-88.

The men's meet was tied heading into the final event, the 200 freestyle relay. The Bearcats team of Dan Goldberg, Tim Kasberg, Nick Saul and Stephen Wood won the race by .20 seconds over MU's team of Ryan McHugh, Mike Brown, Ryan Beljan and Paul Ricard. Wood trailed by .18 seconds when he took off on the final leg and outraced Ricard by .38 seconds.

Josh Schneider won the 50 and 100 free to lead the Bearcats to eight event victories. Marcel Kleiner won the 200 free and placed second in the 100 free as UC took the top three spots. Nick Saul led a sweep of the top three spots in the 500 free. Bjorn Mates recorded second place finishes in the 500 free and 100 butterfly and was third in the 200 free.

For the women, Annelie Jonsson won the 400 IM and placed second in the 100 breast. Randi Vogel also recorded a first (500 free) and a second (200 free). Alex Doyle won the 100 free and was third in the 50 free.

The Bearcats remain at home, hosting BIG EAST rival West Virginia at the Keating Aquatics Center on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.
