CINCINNATI, Ohio---Ping!Baseball.com, an up and coming website devoted to college baseball has chosen University of Cincinnati junior Tony Campana as its Spotlight Player of the Week. A short feature on the outfielder appears on the site.
Campana (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) has been a terror on the bases for the Bearcats this season, stealing a BIG EAST-high 31 bases in only 18 games. He is just four steals away from matching the UC single-season high.
The UNC Asheville transfer has also excelled at the plate, as he is hitting a team-high .361 and is riding a 14-game hitting streak. Campana's play has helped the Bearcats to an 11-7 record so far this year.
