BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati indoor track and field team opened its 2008 season by winning the Bowling Green Quadrangular on Friday evening (Jan. 18) at Perry Fieldhouse. The Bearcats posted 141 points, outscoring Ball State (130), Bowling Green (116), Eastern Michigan (79) and IPFW (24).

Jill Glassmeyer (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) was just two-tenths of a second from a school record in winning the 5,000 meters. The freshman crossed the finish line in 17:22.60.

Fellow freshman Natasha Burse (Garland, TX/Richardson) won a pair of event crowns, capturing the 60 meter dash (7.74) and 300 meters (41.64).

Senior Monica Hundley (Fairfield, OH/Fairfield) was a winner in the 60 meter hurdles. She finished in 8.74, just two one-hundreths off her own school record.

Sophomore Ashley Arnold (Huber Heights, OH/Wayne) won the 500 meters (1:17.73) and the 4x400 relay team wrapped up the event champs by posting a 3:59.29.

The Bearcats will travel to Bloomington, Ind., for the Gladstein Invitational hosted by Indiana on Jan. 25 and 26.
