Volleyball Kicks off Spring Season in Louisville, Ky.

CINCINNATI - The 2008 BIG EAST Conference Regular-Season Co-Champion University of Cincinnati volleyball team kicks off its 2009 Spring campaign on Saturday, April 4, at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center in Louisville, Ky. UC plays at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., against Western Michigan, Saint Louis, Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky.

Each match consists of three sets, with the first two sets played to 25 points and the final set played to 15 points.

With the departure of five seniors, UC's spring roster features junior Jaime Frey, sophomores Annie Fesl, Julie Guenther, Kimi Nakamura, Stephanie Niemer, and Lindsay Upton, and freshmen Natalie Pierce and Missy Harpenau.

April 4 - Louisville, Kentucky (Saint Louis, Western Michigan, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky)

April 11 - at University of Kentucky (Kentucky, Marshall, UC)

April 18 - Scrimmage Day vs. Penn State (Pittsburgh, PA)

April 25 - HOME Tournament @ Fifth Third Arena (Maryland, Ohio, Xavier, Cleveland State and Youngstown State)
