Football Ranked No. 21 In Sports Illustrated's Post-Spring Poll

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team has earned the No. 21 spot in Sports Illustrated's post-spring rankings compiled by SI.com's Andy Staples, a national college football writer.

The Bearcats, defending BIG EAST Conference Champions, are the only league team to appear in the rankings.

The complete rankings can be found HERE. UC went 11-3 during last year's historic run to the 75th FedEx Orange Bowl, earning a final national ranking of No. 17 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.

The 2009 team returns eight starters on offense, and one on defense, including seniors Tony Pike (QB), Jeff Linkenbach (OL) , and Aaron Webster (FS).
