CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced three additional football game times for the 2009 season Thursday, including a pair of TV games.

The Bearcats home opener on Sept. 12 against Southeast Missouri State will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be televised by FOX Sports Ohio. It is one of two games that will air on the regional sports network as the channel will pick up the national FSN broadcast of the Oregon State game on Sept. 19 and air it in Cincinnati.

The 114th Battle for the Victory Bell against Miami (OH) on Oct. 3 will start at 1 p.m. from the RedHawks' Yager Stadium.

UC's Sept. 26 game at Nippert Stadium against Fresno State will kick off at noon and air on the BIG EAST Network. Ten BIG EAST contests will be broadcast by ESPN Regional Television as part of its BIG EAST Game of the Week package. A local broadcast partner will be announced later in the summer.

The BIG EAST Network Game of the Week, produced by ESPN Regional Television, remains the largest regional college football network in the nation. The BIG EAST Network Game of the Week is available to nearly 47 million homes across the United States (41 percent of the national television households).

The BIG EAST Network Game of the Week has television affiliates available in at least 26 different states. In addition, nearly all games broadcast by ERT are offered as part of the ESPN GamePlan subscription service and are available on ESPN360.com. ESPN Regional Television is the largest syndicator of college sports programming in the United States.

Additional televised games for the 2009 season will be announced at the BIG EAST Summer Kickoff in Newport, R.I., Aug. 4.

UC, the defending BIG EAST Champions, returns 43 letterwinners and 11 starters, including quarterback Tony Pike, offensive tackle Jeff Linkenbach, and safety Aaron Webster. Senior wide receiver/kick returner Mardy Gilyard, was an all-America selection and First-Team all-BIG EAST performer a year ago.

The Bearcats will open the 2009 season on Monday, Sept. 7, in a 4 p.m. BIG EAST Conference game at Rutgers. Season tickets are available now by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or visiting CATSTIX.com.
