CINCINNATI- The University of Cincinnati women's indoor track and field team returns to action when it travels to Akron, Ohio, to compete in the Akron Quad Meet on Friday, Jan. 15. The event will be held at The Stile Athletics Field House, which features the 300m Mondo Track.

The Bearcats are returning to competition on six days rest after participating in the Indiana Open last Saturday. Senior Jasmine Cotten highlighted the event by breaking her own school-record in the long jump, with a leap of 19' 9-3/4".

Other highlights of the Indiana Open included junior Natasha Burse, who registered two Top-3 finishes, including a second-place finish in the 60 meters (7.73), and a third-place finish in the 200 meters (25.40).

Sophomores Kathy Klump and Mackenzie Fields both recorded second-place finishes in the 800 meters (2:15.35), and pole vault (12' 1-1/2"), respectively.

The 300m Mondo Track includes six 42" lanes on oval, eight 42" lanes on sprint straightaway, and dual long/triple jump runways and pits.

The four-team event, which includes Cincinnati, Akron, Bucknell, and South Florida, is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. with the women's high jump.
