Here's a look at what's coming up this week in Cincinnati Sports:
- The baseball team will play a home series against Cleveland State this weekend at Marge Schott Stadium. The first game will be at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by game two at 4 p.m. Saturday and game three at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Bearcats are 4-5.
- The men's basketball team will play in the second round of the BIG EAST Championship at 7 p.m. Wednesday in New York, N.Y., after a first round bye. UC, the number seven seed, will take the winner of Tuesday's Villanova-USF game. The game will be televised on ESPN and will be on the radio on 700WLW. The Bearcats are 24-7 (11-7 BIG EAST).
- The men's golf team will participate in the Seminole Intercollegiate Thursday through Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla.
- The women's lacrosse team will host Detroit at 3 p.m. Friday at Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats are 1-4.
- The women's tennis team will take on West Virginia at 2 p.m. Friday in Morgantown, W.Va. The Bearcats then play two matches in Pittsburgh, Pa. Saturday. The first match is at 10 a.m. against Pittsburgh, followed by a 5 p.m. match against Providence. UC is 2-10 overall and 1-3 in the BIG EAST.
- The track team will compete in the NCAA Indoor Championship in College Station, Texas Friday and Saturday to wrap up the Indoor season.

In case you missed it:
- The baseball team defeated Youngstown State 13-0 last Saturday in a rain-shorted game at Marge Schott Stadium. The Bearcats then dropped a 2-1 decision last Sunday in game two. In the final game, Cincinnati won 11-0.
- The men's basketball team beat Marquette, 67-60 last Wednesday in Milwaukee, Wis. With this win, the Bearcats reached double figures in conference wins for the first time since joining in 2005-06. UC went on to complete a sweep of No. 17 Georgetown last Saturday in its last regular season game at Fifth Third Arena, 69-47.
- The women's basketball team upset No. 20 Marquette with a 65-62 victory last Monday on Senior Night in Fifth Third Arena to wrap up the regular season. The Bearcats went on to drop a 66-41 decision to No. 22 West Virginia in the first round of the 2011 BIG EAST Championship in the XL Center last Friday in Hartford, Conn. UC finished the 2010-2011 season 9-20 (2-14 BIG EAST).
- Senior Shelly Bellman has been named the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Sportsmanship Award recipient. Freshmen Kayla Cook and Jeanise Randolph were named to the BIG EAST all-Freshman team.
- The men's golf team tied for 17th place in the team standings at the USF Invitational with scores of 300-301-298=899. Leading the Bearcats was David Tepe, who placed tied for 21st after carding rounds of 74-72-70=216.
- The women's golf team finished 11th last Tuesday at the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge, hosted by the University of Louisville. The Bearcats shot 311-313-309=933 to finish 11th. Olivia Dose paced the Bearcats, finishing in sixth place with rounds of 75-76-69=220. UC also competed in the Rio Verde Invitational last weekend, finishing tied for eighth in the team standings (312-315-308=935). Bambee Dela Paz was the top finisher for the Bearcats, placing ninth with rounds of 74-74-76=226.
- The women's lacrosse team fell 17-3 on the road last Wednesday at No. 11 Vanderbilt. Cincinnati then dropped its home opener 16-5 to Oregon last Sunday at Nippert Stadium.
- The tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Louisville on Saturday at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club. Jasmine Lee at No. 2 singles and Caitlin O'Gara at No. 4 earned points in the match for the Bearcats.
- Three pole-vaulters represented the indoor track and field team at the Alex Wilson Invitational last Friday and Saturday at Notre Dame. Junior Mackenzie Fields paced the Bearcats with a third-place finish in the final round of the pole vault competition, recording a height of 4.06 meters. Freshman Sarah Rasnick scored an eighth-place finish for the Bearcats after clearing 3.91 meters. Rounding out the UC lineup with a 10th place finish was junior Michelle Eby, who had a height of 3.76 meters.
