Time Schedule | Heat Sheets | Hammer Throw Flights
CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati track and field team continues its outdoor schedule when it competes at the Miami University Invitational on Friday and Saturday at George L. Rider Track in Oxford, Ohio.
The Bearcats are coming off two first place finishes at the Oliver Nikoloff Open. They led by junior distance runner Eric Finan, who set a UC all-time best mark in the men's 10,000-meter run with a time of 29:37.29, and senior sprinter Natasha Burse, who bettered her own school-record mark in the women's 100-meter dash with a new record time of 11.65 seconds.
The Miami Invite is scheduled to begin Friday at noon with the women's hammer throw immediately followed by the men's hammer throw.
Saturday's schedule will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's discus throw, followed by the men's shot put at 11 a.m. The first track events will be the women's Section I 5,000-meter run at 10:30 a.m. The meet will conclude with the men's 4x400-meter relay race, which is set for a 6:35 p.m. start time.
In addition to host Miami, the UC women's team will compete against 23 schools: Ashland; Ball State; Butler; Calvin; Cedarville; Central State; Dayton; Eastern Michigan; Ferris State; Findlay; Grand Valley St.; Hillsdale; IPFW; IUPUI; Kent State; Morehead State; Mount St. Joseph; Ohio State; Shawnee State; Tiffin; Western Michigan; Winona State; and Wright State.
In the men's division, 20 schools will compete against the Bearcats: Ashland; Butler; Calvin; Cedarville; Central State; Dayton; Eastern Michigan; Evansville; Findlay; Grand Valley St.; Hillsdale; IUPUI; Kent State; Miami (Ohio); Morehead State; Mount St. Joseph; Shawnee State; Tiffin; Wabash; and Wright State.
