BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Cincinnati track and field team travels to Bloomington, Ind. Friday and Saturday to compete at the Polytan Invitational at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex.

Cincinnati is looking to build off its impressive performance at the All-Ohio Championships at Gettler Stadium last week. The women's team won the overall team competition at the All-Ohio, while the men placed fourth. The Bearcats earned championships in 10 events at the All-Ohio, highlighted by senior sprinter Natasha Burse, who finished first in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and ran a leg in UC's first-place 4x100 relay team.

Day 1 action of the Polytan Invitational starts at 11 a.m. Friday with women's heptathlon and men's decathlon events. Cincinnati's first participants will be at 4:30 p.m. when Mary Bridges and CharAnna Dixon compete in the women's javelin throw, and Mike Foley, Klye Kubera and Andrew Henderson contend in the men's long jump.

The first day will conclude at 9:30 p.m. with the men's 5,000-meter run, where Eric Finan, Oliver Book and David Barry are set to race for Cincinnati. Finan is coming off All-Ohio championships in the 5k (14:27.03) and the 1,500-meter run (3:53.68).

Day 2 action will begin at 11 a.m. with both the women and men's long jump competitions. Dixon and Kaitlyn Good will jump for the Bearcats in the women's division, while Kubera and Nick Furney compete in the men's. Saturday's competition concludes with the women's 4x400 relay race at 3:55 p.m., followed by the men's at 4:05 p.m.
