CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati student-athletes Jake Proctor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) and Zach Isler (Union, Ky./Covington Catholic) helped lead the South to a 7-1 win in the 2011 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game on Wednesday at Great American Ball Park.

Proctor, who started in center field for the South Division all-stars and batted third in the lineup, went hitless in two at-bats. On the season, Proctor ranks fifth in the GLSCL in batting average (.368) and is tied for fifth with nine stolen bases.

Isler entered the game in the ninth inning and allowed one run before recording three fly-ball outs to secure the win. The right-hander has six saves and 10 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched over the summer.

Proctor and Isler are two of four Bearcats who play for the Cincinnati Steam, which owns the best overall record in GLSCL at 17-9. The two juniors-to-be are joined by left-handed pitcher Cory Hough (Springboro, Ohio/ Springboro) and infielder Matt Williams (Mason, Ohio/Cincinnati Hills Christian).
