CINCINNATI - In a game in which the Bearcats never trailed, the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team defeated IPFW, 74-42, during its regular season opener on Friday evening. Chanel Chisholm (Long Island, N.Y./North Babylon/Vanderbilt) recorded her first career double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds as she lead four double-digit scorers in Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods), Alyesha Lovett (Newark, N.J./Malcolm X Shabazz) and Kayla Cook (South Webster, Ohio/South Webster).

Cincinnati continued the domination in the second half, using a 18-0 run in seven minutes to take a 42-point lead with 11:52 remaining. The Bearcats never let up, allowing every player to see minutes on the court and giving the hosts the 74-42 victory.
