OXFORD, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams continued competition at the Miami Invitational Friday evening at Nixon Aquatic Center.

In the `A' final of the men's 100-yard breaststroke, senior Haywood Miller and freshman Mike Craig placed sixth and seventh with times of 58.05 and 58.42, respectively. Emory's Peter O'Brien placed first overall with a time of 56.55.

Miller added a fifth-place finish in the `A' final of the men's 400-yard IM with a time of 4:02.08. Denison's Jackson Humphrey won the event after finishing in 3:57.62.

The men's 400-yard medley relay, the UC `A' team of sophomore Joe Scherpenberg, Miller, junior Roberto Nevarez and senior Matt Hays finished in 3:26.65, good for sixth in the `A' final. Denison won the event with a mark of 3:17.98.

In the women's division, sophomore Sammie Wheeler placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:03.83. Miami's Stacie Clagg placed first with a mark of 1:03.71.

Senior Liz Hansson placed second and fourth in the 50 and 200 free with marks of 23.40 and 1:50.94, respectively. Miami's Bekka Westrick won both events with times of 22.81 and 1:48.93.

The Bearcats 400 medley relay `A' team of sophomore Weronika Wasiakowska, Wheeler, junior Brittany Groene and Hansson placed third after finishing in 3:47.96. Miami placed first with a mark of 3:44.40.
