The University of Cincinnati closed out the Hoosier Open on Saturday afternoon with the men's and women's pentathlon.
Taylor Rosenhagen led the Bearcats on the women's side with a third place. The sophomore reached her 2,999 points by recording a personal-best throw of 39' 7" in the shot put.
Classmate Liz Carr claimed fourth place with a career-best point total of 2,979. A large portion of Carr's points came in the final two events of the pentathlon the 800-meter run and high jump. The sophomore cleared 5' 2.5" in the high jump and ran a 2:34.24 in the 800, which are both personal bests.
Senior Cameron Gardner finished seventh, respectively, with career marks set in the 60-meter hurdles and high jump.
On the men's side, senior Kyle Kubera was the lone competitor, and he finished sixth overall with a point total of 3,490. Kubera scored a pair of personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles (8.80) and 1,000-meter run (2:49.16).
The Bearcats are now off until Jan. 10 when they venture to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Quad.
