Women's Golf Finishes 12th at Forest Oaks Fall Classic

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team finished 12th out of 18 teams at the UNC-Greensboro Forest Oaks Fall Classic, recording a third-consecutive round score of 311 during Tuesday's final 18 holes.

The Bearcats can say that had consistent scoring during the weekend with all three rounds resulting in a team score of 311. Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) recorded UC's lowest score during the first round while Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) carded the best rounds during the final 36 holes.

Gloor finished with rounds of 74 and 75 during the final two rounds. She was even-par during the third-round back nine, erasing one bogey with a birdie on the par-five 18.

"While the scores are not what we want, we saw improvement from individual players at times." noted head coach Janet Carl. "We need to get the team to put rounds together at the same time. I think everyone finally understands why we are focused on the small details."

Cincinnati finished seventh in the field in total pars with 157 but totaled just 16 birdies, placing 15th among the field. The team finished with a 5.36 scoring average on par-fives.
