UC Crowned Champions of Rain-Soaked Bearcat Classic

FINAL RESULTS

CINCINNATI - Battling rain and cold temperatures over the last two days, the University of Cincinnati women's golf team was crowned champions of the Bearcat Classic held Monday and Tuesday at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio.
Seemingly non-stop rain plagued the Cincinnati area this weekend, forcing several changes to the tournament. Monday's initial 36 holes were shortened to 18 after delays Monday.
Tuesday, the field was roughly three to four holes from completing the second round before one final downpour caused standing water in several spots on the course. The decision was made to call the event with final results reverting back to Monday's completed round.
Leading after yesterday's first round the Bearcats were crowned team champions with a team score of 307.

Despite the rain, Mackenzie Moir (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) turned in her lowest round of the year with a 78.
