CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team used a 12-0 scoring run to break a 55-55 tie and win the game 67-59 against the University of Delaware on Saturday night in Fifth Third Arena. Cincinnati had four players register double-digit points, including freshman Ana Owens (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) who tied a career high with 22 points.

// THE SHORT STORY: Owens, sophomore Marley Hill (Cleveland, Ohio/Columbus Africentric), senior Chelsea Jamison (Indianapolis, Ind./Broad Ripple) and junior Jasmine Whitfield (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) all tallied double-digit scoring for the Bearcats in the win over Delaware. It was just the second time this season that four players have scored at least 10 points in a game.

- Delaware opened an 8-2 run to break an early 4-4 tie. The Blue Hens sank two three-point baskets during the run to go ahead 12-6.
- Cincinnati responded with a 9-4 run to get within a point at 16-15. Owens accounted for five of UC's points with a three-point bucket and two free throws for the Bearcats.
- UC closed the half on a 7-1 scoring run to grab a 31-28 halftime lead. A layup by Jamison and a three-point basket by freshman Mackenzie Cann (Lawrenceburg, Ky./Anderson County) put the Bearcats ahead 29-27 and a Jamison jumper with seven second remaining in the half put Cincinnati ahead by three.
- Owens scored eight straight points for the Bearcats to put UC up 55-51. She connected on a jumper in the lane and back-to-back three-point baskets during the run.
- Cincinnati and Delaware were tied at 55-55 until a 12-4 run closed the game for the Bearcats. Jamison paced the Bearcats with five points during the run, including her first three-point bucket of the year. Cincinnati also connected on five free throws to grow the lead to 12, its largest of the game, before two Delaware layups ended the game at 67-59.

- Four Bearcats reached double digits in scoring for the second time this season. UC last had four players with 10-plus points during the second-game of the season against UT-Martin.
- Cincinnati committed a season-low 10 turnovers, with just three coming in the second half.
- UC's 67 points is the third-highest scoring output this season behind Arkansas Pine-Bluff (73) and Xavier (71).
- UC shot 46.7 percent from three-point range, the second-best percentage this season. The Bearcats connected on seven of 15 three's.
- Delaware's 59 points are the second-fewest allowed by UC this season.
- UC allowed just four Delaware steals, a season low for an opponent.

- Freshman Ana Owens recorded double-digit points in the first half for the fourth time this season, with 10 against Delaware.
- Freshman Makenzie Cann was 1-of-4 from three-point range, giving her at least one three-pointer every game this season.
- Marley Hill finished with 15 points, her fourth-straight game with double-digit points. She now has six double-digit scoring efforts this season and nine in her career.
- Marley Hill recorded her second-consecutive double-double and third in four games with 15 points and 13 rebounds against Delaware. She is the first Bearcat with back-to-back double-doubles since Jeanise Randolph last season (Ohio State, Dec. 15 and Akron, Dec. 17)
- Freshman Ana Owens recorded her third game this season with 20 points or more, tying her career-best with 22 points. She has double-digit scoring efforts in seven games this season and has led the Bearcats in scoring five times.
- Owens has hit a three in nine of ten games this season, going 3-of-5 from behind the arc against the Blue Hens.
- Chelsea Jamison had a career-best scoring effort with 13 points.
