CINCINNATI
- The University of Cincinnati women's golf team opened the spring season on a strong note, placing sixth after the first two rounds of the Amelia Island Collegiate hosted by Jacksonville.

// COACH CARL ON THE BEARCATS
"We had a solid game plan prepared and the girls did a great job of sticking to it," stated Coach Carl. "The work they did this winter was evident in their scores today as this was the first full tournament day of the spring. We are pleased by know we have one more round tomorrow and it looks like a cold and rainy day. The team will need to be mentally tough."

// BEARCATS ON THE COURSE
The Bearcats were one of only six teams to post sub-300 scores during the first two rounds. Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) and Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) each posted 74's Monday, marking the lowest individual rounds for the Bearcats. Every member of the scoring team posted a pair of rounds of 79 or better, the only squad to achieve the feat during the day.
