CINCINNATI
- The University of Cincinnati baseball team recorded season-high in both runs and hits in an 11-2 victory over the University of Toledo on Sunday afternoon at Marge Schott Stadium. The win sealed a series victory over the Rockets, the second-consecutive series win for the Bearcats.

For the third game in a row, junior catcher Woody Wallace (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) led the team offensively, recording three hits with an RBI in the series finale. Junior Devin Wenzel (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood Area) added a pair of hits with two RBIs and two runs scored while sophomore R.J. Thompson (Mason, Ohio/Mason) and freshman Chris Klenk (Portage, Ind./Portage) also chipped in two hits each.

On the mound, freshman A.J. Olasz (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin Area) got the start, going 4.0 innings while tying a career high with four strikeouts.

//NOTABLES
- With the win, Cincinnati improves to 6-11 on the season while Toledo falls to 5-13.
- Redshirt sophomore Colton Cleary (Nicholasville, Ky./Lexington Catholic) (1-0) pitched 3.0 innings of relief to earn the win for Cincinnati while UT starter Caleb Shillace (2-2) took the loss.
- Head coach Ty Neal penciled five freshmen into the starting lineup and has started at least four youngsters in each game this season. Freshmen Ryan Noda (Volo, Ill./Grant) and Manny Rodriguez Rodriguez (Brooklyn, N.Y./Calvert Hall) have started all 17 games for UC.
- Happ extended his hitting streak to seven games after singling in the fifth inning.
- For the second straight game, Noda hit a homerun over the scoreboard in right center field. It marked the second time this season that the freshman has homered in back-to-back games. Noda also scored a career-high four runs and tied a career best with three walks.
- Klenk recorded a career-high two RBIs in the game.
- Cincinnati set a new season high in runs (11), hits (12), RBI's (nine) and doubles (three).
- Seven different Bearcats recorded a hit while four had multi-hit game.
- Wallace tied his career high with two doubles.
- Freshman Hunter Losekamp (Milford, Ohio/Milford) made his collegiate debut at catcher for the Bearcats in the bottom of the ninth.
- The game closed out a seven-game homestand for the Bearcats, which went 5-2 during the stretch.

// KEY INNINGS
Bottom of the First
Kyle Mottice (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Jackson) lead off the inning with a double down the right field line and was able to advance on a passed ball. After Noda was walked, a failed pickoff scored Mottice to give UC an early 1-0 lead. Two batters later, Noda scored on a single by Klenk for a 2-0 UC advantage.
Bottom of the Fourth
A Toledo wild pitch scored Wenzel from third and a double by Wallace brought home Thompson to up the Cincinnati lead to 5-1.
Bottom of the Sixth
In the bottom of the sixth, a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Happ, a single by Wenzel and a bases-loaded catcher's interference brought home three runs for Cincinnati to put the home team ahead 11-1.
