UC Finishes Fourth at Bearcat Spring Classic

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla.
- The University of Cincinnati women's golf team wrapped up play at the Bearcat Spring Classic Sunday, jumping up to fourth place in the team standings with a final round score of 303 at the Bearcat Spring Classic at Mission Inn.



// HOSTING DUTIES
The Bearcats are hosting their second event this season after hosting the Bearcat Fall Classic in October. UC welcomed 17 teams to the event which will run from March 20-22 with 18 holes of golf scheduled for each day.

// THIRD-ROUND NOTES
Sunday's third round features an 8:00 a.m. shotgun with play wrapping up around 1:30 p.m. Cincinnati led the field in birdies with 10 after totaling just 11 during the first two rounds combined.

// TOP FIVE TEAMS
Memphis ran away with the team title, shooting 290 during the final round and finishing with a score of 892. The Tigers were 28-over-par and were 25 strokes better than second-place Jacksonville (316-300-301=917). Seminole State (312-307-304=923) was third ahead of Cincinnati (312-311-303=926) and North Dakota State (303-316-308=927).

// CINCINNATI SCORES
A pair of Bearcats shot 75 during the final round, leading UC to their lowest team round score of the weekend of 303. Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) and Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) were UC's top finishers, placing 10th and 13th respectively.
