CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team wrapped up action at the Web.com/Marsh Landing Invitational Monday afternoon, finishing in 17th place at the event at the Marsh Landing Country Club.
// THE FIELD
Miami earned the team title by five strokes over Texas Tech with a score of 281-282-288=851. Florida State also finished with a sub-par score at -3 to take third place. Ohio State took fourth while Illinois finished fifth.
// BEARCATS IN THE FIELD
Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) recorded the best finish for the Bearcats with a score of 79-77-75=231. Her third-round 75 was the lowest for the Bearcats' final round. Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks) recorded a 77 during the final round while Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) carded a 78.

The field for the event included No. 37 Florida State, No. 38 Miami, No. 43 Ohio State, No. 44 Texas Tech, Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Illinois, Jacksonville, James Madison, Kennesaw State, McNeese State, Minnesota, North Florida, Texas State and Toledo.
The event took place at the Marsh Landing Country Club, measuring 5,967 yards at par 72. Monday's action featured36 holes while the fieldplayed 18 Tuesday.
