Cincinnati Grabs Three Top-Three Places on Day Two of the Conference Championships

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs roped in three top-three finishes on day two of the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in Storrs, Connecticut. The women's team currently sits in second place with 26 points, while the men are in fifth with 15.

// GOOD NARROWLY MISSES HEPTATHLON CROWN
Senior Kaitlyn Good narrowly missed winning the heptathlon title as she finished second with a career best 5,403 points, just 24 behind the winner Lucija Cvitanovic from SMU. The Vandalia, Ohio native recorded a personal record in the long jump of 18' 2.5" and ran her fastest 800m since 2012.

Javelin -- 131' 0" (666 pts.)
800m -- 2:14.27 (903 pts.)
DAY 1 -- 3,119 points
TOTAL -- 5,403 points

Junior Macklin Tudor grabbed second in the discus with a throw of 189' 9". The Mount Orab, Ohio native led the competition all the way up until Memphis' Luke Vaughn hurled a lifetime, personal record of 190' 8". Tudor's final attempt served as his top mark, but it wasn't enough to bring home the discus crown.

// BLOOM HAS RECORD DAY TO CAP OFF DECATHLON
Freshman Alex Bloom had a career day on day two of the decathlon with recording five personal records to reach a point total of 6,620. The Seymour, Wisconsin native's total earned him eighth overall and just 15 points from placing fifth.
