It was moving day for the University of Cincinnati track & field men's program on day three of the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with two Bearcats winning league titles and five earning podium spots. The women's team grabbed three top-eight finishes and had two athletes qualify for finals in a day that was heavy on preliminary races.

// MOVING DAY FOR THE MEN'S TEAM
The men's team had an exciting day at the track as they scored 53.5 points to move into second in the team standings through three days of competition. UC sits in second with 68.5 points, just six behind the leader, Memphis

// VALLES DEFENDS HIS POLE VAULT CROWN
Freshman Adrian Valles continues to amaze as he successfully defended his conference title in the pole vault with a new personal best clearance of 18' 6.5". The Spaniard didn't miss a bar enroot to his IAAF qualifying mark, which allows him to compete with the Spanish National Team this summer at the World Championships. Senior Cody Curry also scored for UC as he finished seventh overall.

Senior Tyler Ross and freshman Dan Huben capped off day three with inspiring performances in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as they finished one-two. Ross, who was in second with 800 meters to go, blew by USF's Michael Babinec with 500 meter remaining and sprinted the remainder of the race for his first conference title. Huben, who was in fourth and fifth for the majority of the race, dropped the hammer in the last 200 meters and passed Babinec in the final 10 meters to earn the runner-up position. Ian Silver also placed as he finished sixth, respectively.

Senior Michael Nwankwo had a career day in the high jump as he soared over 6' 11.75" to finish second and lead Cincinnati to 15.5 points in the event. Nwankwo now sits seventh in UC history with that mark. Jordan Hardiman, Alex Bloom and Ben Wollenslegel also finished top eight with Hardiman tying for third and Bloom and Wollenslegel taking seventh and eighth.
