CINCINNATI - Ten former University of Cincinnati football players are taking the next step towards professional careers with the opening of NFL rookie camps this weekend.
OL Tyreek Burwell signed a free-agent deal with the San Diego Chargers, DT Brad Harrah inked a contract with the New York Giants, DE Terrell Hartsfield signed with Indianapolis, OL Eric Lefeld is in Atlanta under a free-agent contract and Jeff Luc was picked up by the Miami Dolphins.
DT Camaron Beard, an Indianapolis native, earned a tryout with the Colts this weekend.
DE Jerrell Jordan, OL Kevin Schloemer, LB Nick Temple and CB Howard Wilder were all invited for try outs at the Cincinnati Bengals rookie camp this weekend.
