GREENVILLE, N.C. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team placed 12th overall at the two-day, three-round East Carolina Lady Pirate Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club.
The Bearcats remained steady following Monday's first two rounds with a final-round 325 on Tuesday to stay 12th out of 17 teams. UC was able to hole three birdies on the day; each coming on the front-nine holes. Host East Carolina won the event with a tournament-best team score of 891 (+27), while Old Dominion followed in second with an 898 (+34) total.

On Tuesday, sophomore Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) continued her consistent play with a third-round score of 78 (+6) to pace the Bearcats for the day. Junior Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) shot a final-round 84 (+12) to bring her two-day total to 232 to lead UC for the tournament in a tie for 22nd overall. Senior Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) bounced back from an 84 second-round score to card a 79 during the final round and finish in a tie for 50th at the tournament.
