PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Junior Ashley Cassidy enjoyed a career-best performance Monday during the first and second rounds of the Web.com Intercollegiate at Marsh Landing Country Club with scores of 69 and 71. As a team, the Bearcats are in eighth place out of 16 teams.

Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) quickly climbed the individual leaderboard with pars on the first three holes of the opening round followed by a birdie on the 335-yard par-four No. 4. Following an even-par 36 on the front nine, the junior continued the momentum on the back with three birdies, including one on the par-five 495-yard hole No. 18, to head into the second round in a tie for first place with a career-best score of 69. Cassidy was still able to shoot under par in the second with a 71 to finish the day in a tie for fourth place with a two-round score of 140 (-4).

"The great thing that we are seeing is that several players have the ability to lead our team on any given day. This team has worked so hard and are starting to see the rewards.
