SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team turned in a round of 301 in the Louisville Cardinal Cup's third and final round on Tuesday at UofL Golf Club to finish in ninth place out of 17 teams.

Three members of the Bearcats' scoring team bounced back with improved rounds while a pair held steady during Tuesday's final round of play. As a team, UC shot its tournament-best round of 301 including three individual rounds of 75 or better. Junior Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) had a six-shot turnaround on Tuesday with a one-over-par 73 which ties for her best round of the season. Gloor birdied three of the first four holes of the day, finishing the front nine with a 36. Senior Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) improved by four strokes with a final round 74, with a pair of birdies on the day, while senior Valentina Herrera (Bogotá, Colombia) had a one-stroke improvement with a third round 75 with a birdie on both the front and back nines.

"I'm very proud of this team today as they put up a great fight," said head coach Janet Carl. "We were able to beat three teams ranked in the top 100. Hopefully this will show the team its potential.
