TULSA, Okla. - University of Cincinnati women's golf senior Valentina Herrera was the Bearcats' top finisher at the Tulsa Dale McNamara Invitational at Tulsa Country Club with a three-round score of 224, including a 77 during Tuesday's third and final round, to place 12th out of more than 50 golfers.
The Bearcats placed eighth in the nine-team tournament with host Tulsa taking the team title. Tulsa's Greta Bruner won the individual championship.

Herrera (Bogotá, Colombia) continued the momentum from Monday's strong opening two rounds with a solid showing on Tuesday to achieve UC's highest finish of the tournament and a season-best placement for the Colombia native. Following Bearcats bests of a 76 in the first round and a one-over-par, season-low 71 in the second, the senior holed one birdie and went par on 10 holes in the third to slot into 12th on the final leaderboard. Senior Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) bounced back from a second round 82 with a 78 in the third to improve in the standings. Junior Christina Gloor (Mattstetten, Switzerland/ESC La Neuveville) managed to crack the top 30 with a three-round total of 233, including a pair of birdies in the final round, to finish in a tie for 29th place.
