Tennis Inks Maria Santilli to National Letter of Intent

Maria Santilli has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers with the University of Cincinnati tennis program, head coach Eric Toth announced today.

CINCINNATI - Maria Santilli has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers with the University of Cincinnati tennis program, head coach Eric Toth announced today. Santilli, a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net, hails from North Huntingdon, Pa., and currently competes for Norwin High School

"Maria is a great fit for our team and University," Toth said of the newest member of the program. "Everyone around the program is really excited she is coming aboard. Maria is an extremely focused and determined individual who expects to be successful in all that she does. I know she will have a great experience as a Bearcat and, with the help of her teammates, enhance the quality of our program."

A 2017 High School All-American, Santilli is currently rated as the #150 recruit nationally according to TennisRecruiting.net and ranks #2 in the state of Pennsylvania. A two-time WPISL singles champion (2016 and 2017), Santilli twice advanced to the Pennsylvania state tournament, winning the crown in 2016 before taking third place in 2017.
