Eric Toth is entering in his 11th season as the women's tennis head coach at the University of Cincinnati, following his hiring in November of 2014.

In his time with the Bearcats, Toth has compiled a combined fall and spring record of 105-102 which places him second on the all-time list. Toth has the most spring wins in program history and is the second coach in Cincinnati history to reach the century mark in wins.

The 2016-17 season saw the Bearcats compile 17 wins under Toth, which is tied for the second-best season counting fall and spring in program history. The 2016-17 season's mark of 17 wins stands as a program best when only counting spring victories. His overall collegiate career record is 331-221.

Toth made the short trip across the city after spending a total of 18 years serving as head coach and assistant coach for the Xavier University men's and women's tennis programs.

During his eight seasons as a head coach, Toth accumulated a 226-116 combined overall record with the Musketeers. He led the women's program to conference runner-up finishes in 2014 (BIG EAST), 2013 and 2008 (Atlantic 10). On the men's side, his program earned three straight Atlantic 10 titles from 2008-10 and runner-up finishes in 2011 and 2012. He has earned a total of four Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year honors, three on the men's side and once with the women's program.

Toth graduated from UC in 1994 with a degree in secondary education and was a two-year co-captain on the men's tennis team. A two-time team MVP, Toth earned ITA Region IV doubles rankings of sixth in 1993 and 12th in 1992. Toth ranks in the top ten in all-time victories at UC. He later served as a volunteer assistant coach during the 1994 season while completing his education.

"Coming back to UC 20 years after being a student-athlete here is something that truly excites me," continued Toth. "The development of this campus since my time here is staggering and the commitment to excellence in the athletics department puts everyone in a position to recruit and compete at a high level."

A 2015 Cincinnati Tennis Hall of Fame inductee, Toth assumes many volunteer responsibilities throughout the area and currently serves as a board member for the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Association and is on the Cincinnati Tennis Hall of Fame Selection Committee. He is also a member of the USPTA, the largest organization of tennis teaching professionals, is past member of the Ohio Valley Region 12 coaches committee and current Ohio Valley Region chair for the ITA. Toth spends time during the summers as Director of Tennis at Hyde Park Golf and Country Club.

A Cincinnati native, Toth was a standout at nearby Elder High School, where he was a four-year starter and was a runner-up at the 1988 3A state doubles tournament. Toth resides with his wife Lynn in Hyde Park.
