CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati baseball team opened its 2018 home season in a big way Tuesday night, walking-off against Northern Kentucky with a 5-3 win thanks to a three-run homerun by Treg Haberkorn.

Down 3-2 in the final frame, freshman Joey Wiemer singled on a full count to begin the pressure. Fellow freshman Dondrae Bremner hit a two-strike single through the left side to keep the rally going. Mason DeAnna followed with a perfect sacrifice bunt to put both runners in scoring position. On the first pitch he saw, Haberkorn hit a no-doubter over the wall in right to end the game.
