OXFORD, Ohio – University of Cincinnati baseball lost 7-2 to Miami Tuesday night.
The RedHawks took advantage of three solo homeruns early. The Bearcats had light life with a pinch hit homerun by Cole Murphy and put two runners on after that, but could not bring it any closer.

• Cincinnati drops to 22-20 on the season while Miami improves to 26-15
• Murphy had the team's only extra-base hit
• Mason DeAnna added in a RBI base hit
• Treg Haberkorn did not have an official at-bat as he was walked three times and hit once
• Jalen Wade pitched well in relief. He gave up just one earned run in 3.2 innings with one walk and three strikeouts
• Isaac Olson pitched the final frame with one hit, no earned runs, one walk and two strikeouts

• A single tally came home when a RedHawks player walked, advanced around the bases on a steal and passed ball, and scored on a sacrifice fly
Top of the 9th
• In a pinch hit appearance, Murphy placed the first pitch he saw over the left field wall for a solo homerun
