// LAST TIME OUT
UC's comeback hopes were dashed on Monday in a 3-2 loss to visiting Wright State at Gettler Stadium. The Bearcats (1-3-0) fell behind midway through the opening half on a Raiders goal in the 20th minute. UC proceeded to answer the bell late in the first half with a score by Mohamed Elmardi (Khartoum, Sudan/Lakota East) during the 36th minute to even the score at one. With the match tied, WSU (3-0-1) tallied back-to-back goals in the 53rd and 57th minutes to push ahead, 3-1. Facing a multi-score deficit late in the match, the Bearcats did not go away lightly and pulled within a goal in the 71st minute on a goal by Peyton Mowery (Troy, Ohio/Troy). Searching for the equalizer in the final minutes, the Red & Black could not muster up enough of an offensive attack as the Raiders held on to come away with the victory, 3-2.
