// SCOUTING THE HURRICANE
Tulsa is 3-7-2 overall – featuring a win over No. 15 Michigan and a draw at No. 4 Michigan State – and is 0-3 in the AAC. The Hurricane has not recorded a win since Sept. 7, a 2-1 double-overtime win vs. New Mexico, but did earn a result in its last game, a scoreless draw against No. 25 Missouri State on Oct. 9.  On the season, Chase Bromstedt and Gilles Kuhler both have a team-best three goals. Bromstedt, Juan Sanchez, and Miguel Velasquez each have dished out Hurricane-highs of three assists. Goalkeeper Bryson Reed has patrolled between the pipes the last two matches and has 21 saves on the season, including one shutout. In the preseason, Tulsa -- who was ranked in the Top 25 early this season -- was picked to finish fifth in The American.

// TULSA SERIES
The Bearcats trail the Hurricane in the all-time series, 0-4-1. Last season, UC was edged on the road, 1-0 by Tulsa. Lawrence had a career-best nine saves in the match. In the last meeting in Cincinnati, the Red & Black was bested, 3-1, on Oct. 29, 2016.

// LAST TIME OUT
UC (3-8-1, 1-2-0 AAC) men's soccer's three-match unbeaten streak was snapped on Oct. 6 in a 3-0 loss at No. 24 UConn. UC hung tough for the opening 45 minutes with Lawrence saving three shots. The Red & Black was also able to get some offensive progression going late in the first period with three shots. The two teams went into halftime knotted at zero. In the second half, UC fell victim to three scores by the home team, resulting in a 3-0 setback. Four Bearcats registered a shot on the night with junior transfer forward Rex Epps' (Irmo, S.C./Dutch Fork/Army West Point) being the lone on goal. UC also attempted a pair of corner kicks. Lawrence recorded a season-high tying four saves in the match.

// EPPS HONORED
The AAC announced on Oct. 1 its weekly honors with Epps selected as Offensive Player of the Week. He earned the award after totaling seven points (3 goals, 1 assist) as the Bearcats went 2-0 the week prior. The transfer has proven to be a much-needed spark for the Bearcats since being cleared for competition. Epps had three shots on goal in his Red & Black debut at Memphis on Sept. 23 and followed with seven points over two games. Epps' accolade marks UC's second weekly league recognition this season after Moritz Schaller (Austria/Vienna University) was picked for the Honor Roll on Sept. 3. The last Bearcat to win AAC Offensive Player of the Week was Sean Clarke (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) on Sept. 18, 2017.
