CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's soccer will kick off its final homestand of the season Tuesday when it welcomes Bowling Green to Gettler Stadium for a 7 p.m. first touch.

CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's soccer will kick off its final homestand of the season Tuesday when it welcomes Bowling Green to Gettler Stadium for a 7 p.m. first touch.
 
Admission to the match will be free of charge as part of the season-long Experience UC initiative.

All home matches in 2018 will once again be streamed live on GoBearcats.com and will all be free. The link to the stream can be found on the men's soccer schedule page. On the same page, links to live statistics can also be found.

// EXPERIENCE UC
Again this season, the Bearcats will be participating in the University's Experience UC initiative that offers free admission (no ticket required) to regular season, home events for select sports. Enjoy free admission to cross country, lacrosse, volleyball, women's tennis, men's and women's soccer, swimming and diving, and track and field home events. Football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball home events will be ticketed. 
 
Experience UC is a community outreach effort that offers the opportunity for sports fans to witness the seismic changes transpiring on our incredible campus. We are proud to open our doors to fans of all ages. The Bearcats are competing to be the class of the league and we invite people to be a part of an unprecedented time in Clifton.

Tuesday will be the final rUCkus Rewards Redemption Night of the season. Concession offerings include nacho specials to celebrate International Day of the Nacho.
 
// SCOUTING THE FALCONS
BGSU is 4-5-4 overall, 1-0-2 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), and is unbeaten in its last five matches. Most recently, the Falcons played Western Michigan to a 1-1 double-overtime draw in Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday. Vinny Worner scored BGSU's lone goal on the night. Goalkeeper Anthony Mwembia made five saves for the Falcons. On the season, Tate Robertson and Ebenezer Ackon lead the offensive attack with three goals apiece, while three players have two scores each. Robertson also paces the team with eight assists on the year. Mwembia has 43 saves in 2018 with two shutouts. In the preseason, BGSU was picked to finish fifth in the six-team Mid-American Conference (MAC).  
 
// BOWLING GREEN SERIES
The series between the Bearcats and Falcons is tied, 5-5-1. UC is unbeaten in the last six meetings including five-consecutive wins. Last season, the Red & Black upset the 19th-ranked Falcons in Bowling Green, 3-1. Aided by a team goal and a score by Sean Clarke (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield), UC knocked off its second-straight ranked opponent on the road during the week (No. 13 Kentucky). The Bearcats are 3-2-0 against BGSU in Cincinnati including, most recently, a 1-0 victory in 2016. Ryan Melink (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) scored the game-winner in the match.  
 
// LAST TIME OUT
UC (3-11-1, 1-4-0 AAC) fell by a score of 3-1 Saturday night to the SMU Mustangs at Westcott Field in Dallas. Mohamed Elmardi (Khartoum, Sudan/Lakota East) tallied the lone UC goal with a score during the 39th minute. Goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mitchellville, Md./Sacred Heart) recorded a season-best seven saves. The Red & Black totaled eight shots on the night, including four on goal. The Bearcats also lined up one corner kick in the match. Seven different UC players recorded a shot in the game with four having tries on target (Igl, Tranberg, Panley, Elmardi). Melink led the way with two total shots.
