// BREAKING RECORDS
Overall, nine meet records fell on the day with the women collecting five of the marks, including both short sprinting events. On the women's side, Tiona Lattimore ran 6.6h to tie her own 55m record she ran one year earlier while Angelica Lightfoot tied the 55m hurdles mark for the second year in a row at 7.7h, continuing to share the mark with Danheisha Harding (2011). In the field, Brooke Catherine cleared 3.93m (12-10.75) to edge her own mark from last year when she cleared 3.92m while Loretta Blaut added another high jump mark to her career tally as she cleared 1.80m (5-10.75) to take down Jasmine Cotten's mark of 1.79m from 2011). The final women's record came in the weight throw as 2017 NCAA Champion Annette Echikunwoke launched the 20-pound ball out to 22.65m (74-02.75), surpassing her own mark for the third year in a row.

On the men's side, three event records were recorded in similar events to the women, including the 55m, the high jump and the weight throw while Andre Wright added the fourth mark as he tied the triple jump mark of Michael Nwankwo (2014) at 15.16m (49-09.00). Mykel Chambers tied his own 55m mark at 6.1h for the second year in a row and turned in the eighth 6.1h time in the meet while Albert Kalala cleared 2.11m (6-11.00) to break the tie he shared with Alex Bloom last year at 2.10m. The final record also came in the weight throw with Sam Meece throwing 18.64m (61-02.00) to better the mark of 18.54m by Josh Province (2015).

// SO CLOSE
Three newcomers nearly added their names to the records books as they just missed the meet mark. Caisja Chandler ran 24.9h in the 200m dash, missing the meet record by 0.3h while Rylee Penn was 0.4h off the 800m mark as she ran 2:16.8h to win. On the men's side, Arthur Greenlee posted a time of 7.2h in the 55m hurdles, missing the meet record by 0.2h, a mark held by two All-Americans, including Olympic Silver Medalist David Payne.

// WIN AGAIN
Three women and two men were multiple winners on the day. For the women, Echikunwoke added the shot put (14.55m) title to her weight throw crown while Lightfoot added the long jump (5.85m) to her hurdles win. Chandler captured the 200m dash title before running the second leg of the victorious 4x400m relay (4:00.3h) with teammates Haisha Bisiolu, Grace Winckowski and Sammy Hentz.

On the men's side, Chambers added the 4x400m relay (3:33.6h) title to his 55m crown as he ran the third leg of the relay with teammates Cannon Riddle, Chris Borzor and Ryan Kane rounding the team. Wright, the victor in the triple jump, also won the long jump (7.44m).
