CINCINNATI – A trio of University of Cincinnati men's basketball players have earned American Athletic Conference accolades the league announced Monday.

Voted upon by the league's coaches, senior forward Gary Clark (Clayton, N.C./Clayton High School) and junior swingman Jacob Evans III (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael the Archangel) were named All-AAC First Team selections while senior forward Kyle Washington (Champlin, Minn./NC State) earned honorable mention all-conference recognition.

Clark was the only player in the league to earn unanimous first-team honors from the coaches, UC's first unanimous All-AAC First Team honoree since Sean Kilpatrick in 2013-14.

It marks the first since 1999-2000 that two Bearcats are honored as first-team all-conference selections: Kenyon Martin and Pete Mickeal were named first team All-Conference USA for both the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 campaigns.

Clark (12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.3 blocks) is a finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award and previously honored as a member of the Citizens Naismith Trophy Late Season Team, the Oscar Robertson Trophy Player of the Year Watch List, the Lute Olson Player of the Year Watch List and a Senior CLASS Award Candidate.

Clark ranks among the AAC leaders in nine categories (through March 4): rebounds (first at 8.2), double-doubles (first with nine), offensive rebounds (second at 3.0), defensive rebounds (fourth at 5.3), blocks (sixth at 1.3), steals (seventh at 1.5), field goal percentage (eighth at .513), free throw percentage (13th at .760) and points (18th at 12.7).

Clark has led the Bearcats in either points or rebounds in 24 games this season. He was named AAC Player of the Week three times and to the league's weekly honor roll twice this season.

Evans (13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks) is a finalist for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year and previously honored as a member of the John Wooden Award Watch List.

Evans ranks among the AAC leaders in eight categories (through March 4): three-point field goal percentage (sixth at .404), assist-to-turnover ratio (seventh at 1.8), steals (eighth at 1.3), assists (10th at 3.3), blocks (10th at 1.0), free throw percentage (12th at .775), scoring (13th at 13.5) and minutes played (21st at 30.7).

Evans was named twice as The American's Player of the Week and twice to the league's weekly honor roll this season.

Evans scored in double figures in 25 games during the regular season.

Washington (11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks) was named to the American's weekly honor roll once this season and ranks among the league leaders in blocks (fourth at 1.4), field goal percentage (ninth at .511), rebounds (T13th at 5.4), defensive rebounds (T13th at 3.8) and points (25th at 11.2) through March 4.
