  • IN THE SERIES: Cincinnati now holds a record of 28-12 in the all-time series with Tulsa and has won six in a row, including a sweep of the season series after winning at Tulsa in overtime (1/10/19), 70-65. The Bearcats are 17-2 all-time against the Golden Hurricane when the series is played in the Queen City.
  • The Bearcats are now 45-2 at home since the start of the 2016-17 season. They entered the game today leading the nation in home wins (44) and held the highest winning percentage (.957) since the start of the 2016-17 season.
  • With the win, Cincinnati is now 45-4 in home AAC games since joining the league when it began in the 2013-14 season. In the previous five seasons, UC posted records of 8-1, 8-1, 8-1, 9-0 and 8-1 before starting this year at 4-0 with tonight's win. Cincinnati also holds a 30-2 record in home AAC games since the start of the 2015-16 season with losses coming to Temple (77-70, 12/29/15, at Fifth Third Arena) and Wichita State (76-72, 2/18/18, at BB&T Arena).
  • Cincinnati has won 22 consecutive home AAC games inside Fifth Third Arena, winning 18 straight before the renovation of FTA and now 4-0 this year in the return to campus after playing at BB&T Arena last year.
  • With the victory tonight, the Bearcats moved to 17-3 on the season, marking the fourth time in the last six season and the third year in a row the Bearcats have posted 17 or more wins in their first 20 games of a season.
  • HALFTIME REPORT: Cincinnati jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead and built that into an 11-point advantage at the break, leading the visiting Golden Hurricane, 39-28. The Bearcats were led by Cane Broome, who scored 10 points, and Jarron Cumberland, who chipped in nine. Tre Scott tallied eight points while pulling down nine rebounds, nearly recording a double-double in the opening 20 minutes of play that saw UC force eight turnovers, scoring 10 points off those UT miscues. The Bearcats led by as many as 15 points in the half and held a double-digit advantage for nearly the final 11 minutes of the stanza.
  • Tonight marked the third time in four home conference games Cincinnati scored 80 or more points. The other games included a 93-61 victory over Tulane (1/2/19) and an 82-74 defeat of USF (1/15/19), giving UC back-to-back 80-plus point games against league foes. The only time UC did not reach 80 points was a 74-72 overtime victory against UConn (1/12/19).
  • Cincinnati tallied 44 rebounds in the game (30 defensive, 14 offensive), its second-highest total of the year and the third time it has recorded 40 or more. The most recorded was 46 against South Carolina State while the other 40-plus instance came against Western Michigan with 42. The +18 rebounding margin also ties for the highest of the year for the Bearcats (SC State) and the seventh time UC has posted a +10 rebounding margin this season.
  • For the third time this season, the Bearcats handed out 20 or more assists as they recorded 20 tonight, marking the third time they have done so this year. The last time came against Tulane in the home AAC opener with the season high 24 coming against UCLA.

// PLAYER NOTES
  • Jarron Cumberland continued his torrid scoring pace as he tallied 23 on the night while adding four rebounds and a team-high-tying five assists. With his point total, Cumberland has now scored 20 or more points in nine games this season, bringing his career total to 12 in the process. Cumberland now ranks third for both season and career 20-plus point games in the Mick Cronin era. On the season chart, he is tied with Sean Kilpatrick, who had nine in the 2012-13 season, with Kilpatrick's 19 (2013-14) and Deonta Vaughn's 11 (2007-08) ahead of Cumberland. On a career level, Cumberland and Cashmere Wright (2010-13) are tied for third with 12 while Kilpatrick (2011-14) and Vaughn (2007-10) are ahead of the duo with 37 and 27, respectively. Cumberland has now scored 20 or more points in all home AAC games this year, scoring 22 against Tulane, 22 against UConn and 34 against USF before tonight.
  • ON THE LIST: With his 23 points tonight, Cumberland moved up one position on the program's all-time scoring ledger, moving into 50th place position, passing Field Williams (1,030 points from 2001-04). Cumberland moved past Williams at the 11:23 mark of the first half as he hit a floater in the lane to move up to 1,031 points in his career. Cumberland is now three points shy of tying Ralph Richter (1,053 points from 1947-50) for 49th place.
  • Trevon Scott had another career night as he recorded the fourth double-double of both this season and his career as he scored 13 points while adding a career-best 11 rebounds. Scott has recorded all four of his double-doubles at home this year, including a 15-10 performance against Milwaukee, 22-10 against NKU and 10-10 against Xavier. Tonight also marked the ninth time this year Scott has recorded nine or more rebounds.
  • Justin Jenifer was hot from beyond the arc as the senior was 6-of-10 from three. His 6-of-10 showing marked a pair of career highs as he entered the game with previous bests of nine attempts (twice) and four makes (four times). His six makes – which were two less than the entire Tulsa team (8-of-23) – are the most in a game for a UC player since Kilpatrick went 6-of-12 at UCF on February 19, 2014.
  • With those six treys, Jenifer finished the game with 18 points to tie his career high set earlier this year against Tulane (1/2/19). It also gave him double-digit points for the fourth game in a row, the longest streak of his career. Previously, he had two streaks of three games, including the three games leading into tonight's fourth. The first instance game earlier this year against UCLA (11), South Carolina State (11) and Tulane (18).
