CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's soccer and FC Cincinnati will face off in a spring friendly at Nippert Stadium on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. ET.
Admission to the match will be complimentary as FCC aims to provide fans with familiarity of Major League Soccer's (MLS) game day entry and security practices. Gates 2, 4, and 8 will be open for the event and seating will be limited to The Bailey and Sections 101 through 109. Gates will open at 6 p.m. for fans and $5 parking will be available in the Corry Garage and Calhoun Garage for the event.
"First of all we would like to thank FC Cincinnati for giving us the opportunity to play again this spring," said UC head coach Hylton Dayes. "They are a first-class organization and have always been gracious to UC and our program with their time and expertise. We look forward to the challenge of playing an MLS team, it will be a positive experience regardless of the outcome."
The match will provide fans the first opportunity to see both UC and FCC in action at home in 2019. The two sides have met twice previously over the past two years – both at Gettler Stadium -- with the Bearcats showing well with just a 2-0 setback in 2017 and 1-0 loss in 2018.
In total, the Bearcats will play six matches in the spring, including four in the Columbus Crew Spring College League and the annual Alumni Match. Read more about UC's spring here.
