TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati track and field team sent 28 student-athletes to the Kentucky Open Saturday at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Bearcats had a solid day despite the gloomy weather with temps in the 40s, posting 25 Top-10 finishes, 13 personal-best marks and 17 season-best efforts.
A pair of UC Top-10 efforts were recorded on the women's side by Allie Plybon (pole vault) and Jane Sensibaugh (discus throw), respectively. Plybon cleared 3.85m with a fifth-place finish in the pole vault, hitting her season- and personal best while setting the No. 9 all-time mark at UC. Sensibaugh had a shot-put effort of 14.11m, snagging the No. 10 spot in UC's record book, along with achieving a season and personal best.

UP NEXT
The Bearcats return to action next weekend with the bulk of the squad headed to Louisville for the Lenny Lyles / Clark Wood Invitational at Cardinal Park. The meet is scheduled to run Friday-Saturday with 25 teams competing. A select group of Bearcats will also head to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from April 25-27.

- Tiona Lattimore had a pair of Top-5 efforts, claiming third in the 400m dash and fourth in the 200m dash with clockings of 56.53 and 24.519, respectively.
- Austin Goolsby was second in the men's pole vault with a best effort of 4.95m.
- Sam Meece and Danny Jones placed 2-5 in the men's discus throw. Meece threw 52.94 while Jones had a toss of 48.15m.
- In addition to Plybon's fifth-place finish in the pole vault, Brooke Catherine was ahead of her in fourth after clearing 4.00m Saturday.
- Leah Heckaman had a season-best throw of 15.10m to take home fifth place in the women's shot put.
