CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati tennis program has added two local standouts to continue their academic and athletic careers with the Bearcats Head Coach Eric Toth announced today. Both Hayley Hirsch (Indian Hill HS) and Sanjana Reddy (Mason HS) will join the program in time for the 2020 fall schedule.

"We are excited Hayley and Sanjana have decided to be a part of our program and be Bearcats," Toth said. "We always want local talent to be attracted to all UC has to offer and we are really getting quality individuals in each. They have grown up in the same junior program and have been friends for a long time. It will be fun for both Hayley and Sanjana to share their college tennis experience together."

// PLAYER PROFILE: HIRSCH
Hirsch was a four-year standout for Indian Hill High School where she placed in the Top 4 of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division II State Doubles Tournament each year, including winning the 2019 state title. A four-star recruit and the #10 prospect in the state of Ohio according to TennisRecruiting.net, Hirsch was part of three IHHS teams that placed in the Top 3 of the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association (OTCA) Stat Team Tournament as well. When she begins playing for the Bearcats, she will be third member of her family to play collegiate tennis, following her brother, Asher, who played at the University of Illinois, and her sister, Gracey, who currently plays for Penn State.

// PLAYER PROFILE: REDDY
Like Hirsch, Reddy brings a wealth of experience and success from her time in the high school ranks at Mason that earned her a three-star ranking and ranked her as the #12 prospect in the state of Ohio according to TennisRecruiting.com. While playing for the Comets, Reddy was a mainstay in the state tournaments as she qualified to the state event three times in doubles that saw her place third in 2018. Her play, along with her teammates, saw MHS rank among the best programs in the state as the Comets captured the OTCA State Team Championship three times (2017-19) while finishing as runners-up in 2016. On a conference level, Reddy secured four gold medals as she captured the Greater Miami Conference singles crown three times (2016-18). And the doubles title once (2019).
