CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati track and field program returns to the H-Town SpeedCity Series, hosted by the University of Houston, for the second time this season. The meet will take place on Saturday Feb. 13 inside Yeoman Fieldhouse with field events starting at 11 a.m. ET and running events at 2:30 p.m.

LAST TIME
The Bearcats competed in the H-Town SpeedCity Series back on Jan. 29-30, claiming nine event wins over two days.

Concluding Friday's events, Taylor Beard (high jump), Caisja Chandler (200m), Rachel Coghill (pole vault) and Malin Smith (shot put) were the women's event winners while Saturday saw Chris Borzor (200m), Matt Hoak (mile run), Jeremy Hayton (high jump), Austin Edwards (long jump) and Sam Meece (weight throw) snagging the top spot in their respective events.

NOTABLE WOMEN
Chandler earned her spot as the American Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in-a-row, following her performance at the South Carolina Invitational. Chandler bettered her previous season best times, clocking 7.42 in the 60 and 23.62 in the 200. Chandler, the school record holder in both events, continues to make her mark in the UC record books, she now owns nine of the top 10 spots on UC's all-time chart in the 200-meter and six of the top 10 in the 60m dash.

Smith was tabbed as this week's AAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week following her career performance in South Carolina, where she placed third in women's shot put with a best heave of 16.17m (53-00.75), enough for a personal best, bettering her previous mark of 15.95m (52-4). Smith now holds the No. 2 spot all time in the women's shot put and currently sits at No. 17 in the NCAA, while claiming the No. 1 spot in the AAC, with a separation of 1.2m from the current No. 2 spot.

Taylor Beard, who won AAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 2, rose through the ranks after putting up a personal-best mark of 1.83m (6-0) in the high jump at the H-Town SpeedCity Series. This mark was enough to move her up to fourth in the UC record book. Beard sits at the No. 5 spot in the NCAA and the No. 1 spot in the AAC.

NOTABLE MEN
Borzor's season-best clocking of 21.00 in the 200 last time in Houston put him atop the AAC rankings and moved him up to No. 17 nationally. He also holds the AAC's top spot in the 400-meter dash and the No. 6 spot in the 60-meter dash.
