LAST TIME OUT
The Bearcats continue to chip away at the UC record books, claiming four new all-time records last week at the 53rd Tennessee relays on performances by Aaron Bienenfeld (1500m), Ellie Leather (1500m), Jane Sensibaugh (Discus), and Damien Berthenet (Decathlon).

Bienenfeld, the AAC Track Athlete of the week earlier in the outdoor season, secured another distance record to add to his growing resume. With a clocking of 3:43.93 in the men's 1500m, Bienenfeld took over an almost 40-year-old record held by Jeff Johnson since 1983 by exactly one second. Bienenfeld is now the owner of four UC all-time records for the track and field program.

This week's AAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, Leather was recognized for her record-breaking performance in the 1500m at the Tennessee Relay's this past weekend. Crossing the line at 4:17.30, she shattered the current UC record by over 11 seconds, which was broken earlier in the season by teammate Katrina Patterson at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. She now sits in the NCAA top-25 in the 1500m at the No. 21 spot in the nation.

Berthenet secured top honors in the men's decathlon this past weekend with a personal best score of 7686. With this total, Berthenet shattered the current school record by more than 100 points which was held by current associate head coach, Chris Wineberg since 2004. Berthenet also catapulted himself up the national rankings where he currently sits at the No. 3 slot in the NCAA.

Sensibaugh showed out at the Tennessee Relays securing a UC record of her own with a personal best heave of 53.27m (174-9) in the Discus throw. Sensibaugh edged out her current teammate Malin Smith's previous record of 52.34 (170-10) which she had just broken just one week earlier at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. Sensibaugh has also seized a spot in the NCAA, ranking No. 30 in the nation.
