LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati secured four event wins and 12 podium finishes at the War Eagle Invitational this past weekend in Auburn, Alabama. Among the winners was this Chris Borzor, who secured the men's only gold medal finish with a strong performance in the men's 200m dash. On the women's side Tiona Lattimore (400m Dash), Caisja Chandler (200m Dash), Malin Smith (Shot Put) took top honors in their respective events.

For the second week in a row, Cincinnati swept the American Athletic Conference's weekly track awards, claiming both the men's and women's Track Athlete of the Week.

On the men's side, Borzor received his second AAC Track Athlete of the Week Award following his performance at the War Eagle Invitational this past weekend. Borzor paced the competition in the 200m dash to claim his third straight win of the season with a personal best clocking of 20.55. With this time, he edged out his own school record by .02 seconds, set back in 2019. Borzor has now broken into the NCAA Top-20 where he is currently slotted No.17 in the nation in the 200m dash.

Chandler, this week's AAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week wasted no time getting into her rhythm at the War Eagle Invitational. Chandler followed suit and broke her own school record in the 200m with a time of 22.92. Claiming her fifth win of the season and her third in the 200m dash, Chandler now holds the No.9 Sport in the nation for her dominating performance in the 200m dash.

Smith claimed a new personal best of her own with a strong heave of 16.06m (52-8.25) in the women's shot put and just the third Bearcat to ever break the 16m mark.

Lattimore paced the competition Saturday afternoon in 400m dash, crossing the line at 54.13 and breaking into the NCAA national rankings, holding the No.64 spot in the nation as she enters this week's competition at the Clark Wood Open.
