TicketsCINCINNATI – Longtime University of Cincinnati Athletics administrator Maggie McKinley was elevated to Deputy Athletic Director / Senior Woman Administrator, Director of Athletics John Cunningham announced.
McKinley, who joined the UC staff in 2001, will oversee the department's internal operations while continuing to serve as the Bearcats' senior woman administrator.
"This is well deserved for Maggie," Cunningham said. "Since my arrival at UC, she has been a key advisor as she has been on the forefront of key NCAA issues while representing the American Conference on the D1 Council. Her new role and additional responsibilities will be essential in coordinating, driving and maximizing the internal efficiency of the department. She is a leader within our department and undoubtedly has a future leading a department of her own one day".

"I look forward to continuing to enhance the Bearcats' connection locally, regionally and nationally and creating a synergy between internal operations and external relations that will positively impact our student-athletes, coaches and staff."
McKinley is a member of Cunningham's executive team and provides strategic direction on departmental initiatives, policy development and implementation, enhancement of athletic performance, student-athlete welfare and equity and inclusion. She has led national searches and been involved with several head coach hires including football, women's basketball, baseball and track & field.
She now oversees compliance & administration, equipment management, facilities & operations, human resources, medical services and sports performance along with working with several on-campus departments such as the office of general counsel and internal audit as the athletics liaison.
In addition, she serves as a program administrator for football and women's basketball.
A track and field student-athlete at UC from 1996-2000, McKinley serves on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors Infractions Process Committee and recently wrapped a five-year stint representing the American Athletic Conference on the NCAA D1 Council. She serves as the Chair of the AAC SWA committee and is a member of the AAC AD Executive Committee.
