Baseball Takes on Indiana in Fall Exhibition

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team opens its 2021 fall slate by playing host to Indiana on Sunday, Oct. 17.  First pitch at UC Baseball Stadium is set for 1:00 PM. Admission is free for all fans.

Additionally, the exhibition will be streamed live on YouTube (YouTube.com/CincinnatiBearcats) with play-by-play coverage provided by UC Director of Baseball Operations, Andy Nagel.

Cincinnati and Indiana have met 30 times in the regular season beginning in 1897. The Hoosiers own a 18-12 record over the Bearcats, but the two teams have split the last 10 meetings dating back to 2012.

UC is set to return seven starters including redshirt juniors Paul Komistek and Griffin Merritt, who both earned All-American Athletic Conference honors in 2021. Additionally, local products Cole Harting (Mason), Joe Powell (Mason) and Zach Segal (Loveland) look to build on breakout 2021 campaigns.

Fans will also be able to get their first look at some of the new faces in the program, including seven freshman from the class of 2021 and six incoming transfers.
